Places to eat

My personal favorites are Azzurro and the Strand. The kids meals in Azzurro do include a free gelato-which is always good!

The Strand Inn is a must really.  (Very iconic and the best views in town).  They have a fabulous outside terrace in the summer months.  I often have a coffee here while my girls play on the beach.  I always enjoy their Sunday lunch in their more formal restaurant.

The Haven Hotel do food also.  We usually go there for a drink on the patio and they sell crisps, gummy bears etc for the smallies and my girls love rolling up and down the grass hills.  (The view is breath-taking).

The Bay Cafe is down near the Pharmacy is probably the most "reasonably priced" food in Dunmore

The Ice-cream shop beside the Bay Café is a must for the kids and down on the pier there is a chipper with outside seating/terrace.  (I have yet to eat here but it always looks nice with the outdoor lighting etc).

Further afield-Brooklyn in Tramore is very good (Booking definitely needed).  Be warned though-you can see the amusements from inside!

The Suir Inn in Cheekpoint is also very good.  The Playground in Cheekpoint is amazing/the “best ever” according to my girls!  The Cake Dame in Cheekpoint (kind of like a hutch) is amazing and she is open Sat/Sun.

Powers bar do have a dart board. The seagull bakery does lovely hot chocolates, pastries & coffee (take out only) but is definately a must visit.
